Random Display – Hanging Pictures

As promised, part 2 of Random Displays, this time it’s all about how you hang it:

You may remember the second to last image as the home of designer, Anita Calero in the post Spot The Difference. Her bedroom wall display looks like something out of a museum – not sure I’d want to sleep beneath them – unique all the same.

I think my favourite is the last – I like the idea of using objects as well as pictures, canvases as well as framed images – it gives a more textured look.

The problem is where to start? I always like to have a running theme, even if it’s only apparent to me – whether that be colour or activity. Then I just go for the plunge, putting one thing up and then another, with the reassurance that if I screw up there’s always polyfiller!

To finish, here is part of a wall collage I did. to cover a rather ugly cupboard in the kitchen – the beauty with this is it’s temporary and you can keep on changing it, particularly if you use washi tape.
