This just might be the week that my beloved windows are installed – just in the nick of time, as we seem to have dived straight into autumn.

My vision for the kitchen was to strive for an industrial look and, when we first thought of placing a full length window to the side of the extension, all I could think about was those gorgeous leaded windows you find in old warehouses. It raised a few eyebrows since traditionally the house would be top in toe in sash windows but I’m hoping it might just give it that extra edge.

I really hope it lives up to my expectations – I will let you know!
