Just before Christmas I went to Buenos Aires for my aunt’s 50th Birthday. Wow – what a trip it was!
I have been meaning to blog about this trip for ages but I really wanted to go through the photos and make some sort of sense of them.
I didn’t really want to blog about a family holiday as it’s a bit meaningless if you don’t know the people involved. So while I was there I tried to take some “style” shots which I could put together.
So here’s my first installment – with a couple of collages. Hope you like them!
Some of the shots are from La Bamba de Areco – a fantastic ranch outside Buenos Aires. I thought I’d died and gone to heaven – a beautiful pool, beautiful views… stunning interior design and some very talented horses! Have a look at the website and you’ll see exactly what I mean.
Plaza Dorrego, San Telmo
OMG – antique heaven! The flea market was amazing – if it wasn’t for the fact that I had to pack everything into a suitcase and fly back I would have gone wild! There were beautiful antique religious icons, elaborate chandeliers and..oh yes…shops devoted to vintage clothing. Seriously my husband paled as I found this one shop, which had rails and rails of white lace blouses all packed and laundered, ready to go. But hello…the prices were not far off London prices – so no deals to be done. Gutted!
Palermo Viejo was buzzing. Definitely the place to be in Buenos Aires. Great for people watching and shoe shopping. Although there did seem to be a huge trend going on involving massive wedges and I mean massive. Not a great lover of wedges, I swear they make your calves look big!
Well, that’s the first installment – more collages to follow and some purchases I made along the way!
Ciao for now.
Fabulous collages – they look like they’re straight from the page of a glossy interiors mag. Gorgeous. And your trip looks totally amazing. Can’t wait to see more xx
